    <title>It's been forever since I've posted here</title>

    <content type="html">Hmm, its been almost 6 months since I've posted an entry. Anyways...&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The first year at a new job is always challenging, not to mention having moved across the country. The climate is different. The people are different. Life is different. It's been an adjustment, but I think I have found myself again after all this change.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Miss my mate a lot but I have faith that he will be able to find a good job opportunity here and move to be with me.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to make time for all the little things that I've been neglecting... lj, website, photography, meeting people.</content>

    <title>in memoriam</title>

    <content type="html">&lt;p align="left"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In an odd mood this week....  A few days ago I learned that someone I met last month and was hoping to get to know better passed away.  This happed a few weeks ago, but I didn't find out until this past Tuesday.  &amp;lt;sigh&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel some sadness, and while I didn't know him all that well, it feels like there is an emptiness in the world. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Looking back at some photos, here's one of him (on the right) with his friend at the OddBall Halloween party this past year in Santa Cruz.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://pics.livejournal.com/alias_pup/pic/000056te/"&gt;&lt;img height="240" width="181" border="0" alt="" src="http://pics.livejournal.com/alias_pup/pic/000056te/s320x240" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In memoriam.&lt;/p&gt;</content>

    <title>Settling down</title>

    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;Been a while since I updated my journal.....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I finally feel like I am settling down in both the new job and the new environment.&amp;nbsp; I think I've been&amp;nbsp;a lucky pup over the past few&amp;nbsp;weeks to have&amp;nbsp;made good friends - and to have a&amp;nbsp;partner to send me love all the way from the east coast.&amp;nbsp; I do miss him, but in two weeks I'll be making my way there for some catching up on snuggles and play.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I had a fellow pup friend come visit me from Dublin, Ireland...&amp;nbsp;felixkatz.&amp;nbsp; It was good to finally meet him face to face (nose to nose? :&amp;nbsp; )&amp;nbsp; We shopped and&amp;nbsp;did some photography&amp;nbsp;and hottubbed and snuggled and played video games and talked about stuff that pups usually talk about, like the meaning of life and quantum physics and our favorite doggie treats : P.&amp;nbsp; Had a great time with him.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;I wish we could have spent more time together, but imand skype will have to do for now.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's one of the photos I took:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;a href="http://pics.livejournal.com/alias_pup/pic/0000490k/"&gt;&lt;img height="240" alt="" width="319" border="0" src="http://pics.livejournal.com/alias_pup/pic/0000490k/s320x240" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I have another pup friend, Spike, who I met when I moved here.&amp;nbsp; I learned from him today that his father had just passed away :&amp;nbsp; (&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I can't say that I know what it is like to lose someone I love since I have not yet gone through that kind of loss, but I&amp;nbsp;feel for him nonetheless.&amp;nbsp; He'll be visiting this weekend, and I'll try to help him through some of his grief.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Speaking of quantum physics and death...&amp;nbsp; &lt;a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_immortality"&gt;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_immortality&lt;/a&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</content>

    <title>moving to CA</title>

    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;I finally found a new job, yaaay... but it's in California, booo.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm going to make the move this Tuesday to Boulder Creek, CA where I'll be staying with smashwulf, his mate, and two other furs.&amp;nbsp; Should be interesting : P&amp;nbsp; I'll have to shop for a new bed and a new car too.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;It's definitely going to be a change of environment.&amp;nbsp; My mate in PA can't move with me, but hopefully we'll see each other often enuff that it won't be so bad.&amp;nbsp; Ok... back to packing.&lt;/p&gt;</content>

    <title>There and Back Again</title>

    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Ah... it been several weeks since I've posted to LiveJournal.&amp;nbsp; I've been devoting all my energy to finding a new job and my efforts are finally starting to pay off.&amp;nbsp; I got a job offer from a startup company in Los Gatos, CA and I'm in the final round of interviews with Google in Pittsburgh, PA.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This past weekend&amp;nbsp; I stayed with Smash in Los Gatos after&amp;nbsp;my interview&amp;nbsp;there and got to meet his mate, Dragon, as well as his other roomies.&amp;nbsp; I also got to meet my&amp;nbsp;buddy Ken in person there.&amp;nbsp; We all had a great time.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;It feels&amp;nbsp;good to know that I will have friends in the area if I decide to move there :&amp;nbsp; )&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It's going to be a tough call.&amp;nbsp; I won't know where I will be moving before&amp;nbsp;my lease expires here at the end of the month, so I'm going to move my stuff temporarily to my mate's and my parent's house.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I feel kinda surreal and purposeless, but hopefully this will pass once things stabilize in a couple of weeks.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</content>

    <title>Job transition among other things</title>

    <content type="html">Ah time for me to prep my resume again.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;My company is laying off 450 employees and I was hit.&amp;nbsp; No worries though, since I am pretty sure I will find a good job in no time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What's even more annoying though is that my tenants in Vermont have been financially delinquent with rent playments.&amp;nbsp; We've worked out a plan for them to move out, but they still owe me 2 months rent.&amp;nbsp; Grrrr!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I spent the nite writing&amp;nbsp;a 3-page&amp;nbsp;legal letter to them, and it took me 5 hrs.&amp;nbsp; Felt like I lost 5 hrs of my life.&amp;nbsp; Ugh.</content>

    <content type="html">&lt;p&gt;So here goes my first entry....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I picked Alias for my furry name this week.&amp;nbsp; I guess it kinda represents another layer of myself that I have discovered.&amp;nbsp; Over the past six years, I've been exploring the facets of my soul....&amp;nbsp; being gay, getting into bdsm, starting a new relationship, and now furry.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It has lead to much change in my life... sometimes chaos at first, but then reinvention.&amp;nbsp;Evolution. But throughout it all,&amp;nbsp;there were the&amp;nbsp;constants... love,&amp;nbsp;trust, and&amp;nbsp;friendship. I am grateful to have such good friends, and a loving soulmate. Ah sometimes I wish they were all closer distance-wise.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</content>
